English chef Karen Anne Murray, born in the West Midlands created Eddison & Melrose (her parents middle names) in 2001. Karen completed her chef training at the young age of 18 at what is now known as University College Birmingham, England. She travelled to California where she earned her degree in Restaurant Management. She spent twelve years working in restaurants in England, Germany, Canada & the US. Born a natural explorer & entrepreneur she immigrated to Vancouver, Canada where she began her first business as a personal chef. Love took her back to California where she continues to reside with her family. Her relocated personal chef business grew rapidly and she expanded into the world of catering. Always a fan of tea time Karen decided to make her niche in catering English Afternoon Tea. The first commercial kitchen was located in Sand City, CA. Hundreds of both tea and regular catered events were orchestrated on these premises. In 2009 E&M moved to Monterey, CA. At this location customers come in and dine on the premises for tea! Chef Karen Anne enjoys the energy and life brewing from her very happy & ecstatic customers and cherishes the joy tea time brings to their day.
